On September 21, LISC Boston’s annual Story Slam returns for its 5th year. We are seeking storytellers from the LISC community to share compelling personal stories reflecting on this year’s theme, “Common Wealth.”
Each year LISC turns the mike over to our partners and community members at the LISC Story Slam by featuring first-person, true personal stories reflecting on our annual theme. Because the LISC Story Slam is a celebration of community development, they often – but not always – relate in some way to the things that make communities and community members thrive, the challenges or rewards of our shared work, and/or the impact of inspired community action and leadership. We have featured stories about losing and finding homes.
